Manifest Destiny Design Document |
30 Jul 2007 11:49 am |
The Manifest Destiny Design Document (version 1.00) has been posted (the link to the document can be found on the nav bar on the right under Manifest Destiny). Although not entirely complete, the document contains an overview of play, a description of files, a full description of each of the screens in MD, a complete milestone list overview, and the initial 3 (out of 24) milestone detail lists. Everyone should feel free to make comments on the existing content and structure of the document. If you see anything that was forgotten, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Over time, updates to the design document will be uploaded to fill out much of the missing information. As these are released, announcements will be made. I will also make announcements each time MD hits one of its milestones.

Webstite Maintenance |
27 May 2007 06:16 am |
RJCyberware will soon be moving to a new address, which hasn't yet been determined. In preparation for this move, some parts of the site will be undergoing periodic maintenance work, especially those parts that connect to the site databases.
Not to worry, the new site will contain all the relevant things you expect to find here on the RJCyberware site. The databases will be moved in their entirety and will remain intact, so you may continue to use the forums and the bug tracker and the DDO quest lists right up until they get moved without having to worry about losing anything. Certain parts of the site will be revised or removed as things are moved, but the essential working parts will remain the same.
The first step of this maintenance will happen on June 1st with the forum database. The forums will be down during the day for an estimated four hours. The forum database will not be moved at this time, and once they come back up can be used as normal. Please see the Announcements section of the forums for more details.
As soon as I know the new site name, I will pass it on to you guys.

The Sovereignty Server (Part 2) |
12 Jan 2005 08:49 am |
You may have noticed the Sovereignty server never came back up as was promised. I decided to keep it down for a while. It seems a good time to do so, since the next time you log into the server, you will need to download a new Launcher version from the website anyway. And since there are currently no new features to test out, there's not much point to keeping it running at the moment.
Work is continuing on the Sovereignty front in the form of the world builder, a very major tool which I have used to create the current world. It is getting a huge overhaul and will be much more useful in the coming months in creating and maintaining the Sov world. I feel this is the next necessary step in Sov development.
The server will come back up when there are new features to test, keep an eye on this site for an announcement as to exactly when that will happen. If you are interested in watching progress on the world builder/engine (code named Enzyme), there is a link on the nav bar to the right.

The Sovereignty Server |
16 Nov 2004 07:31 am |
You may (or may not) have noticed the server has been down for a couple of days. It will remain down for a little while longer, and I expect the server to return on November 22nd or 23rd. There will be a mandatory website download of a new launcher in order to connect to the server. There will be an official announcement when the server is back online.
[Edit: A new ETA is set for Novemember 24th]

Error Tracker Database Update |
08 Oct 2004 04:59 pm |
I have installed a brand new version of Mantis, a program which both tracks our bugs (in Manifest Destiny and Sovereignty) and handles our news feed for the front page. The bad news is the database has been wiped, so you need to recreate your Mantis account to report bugs.
If you don't want to go through all the trouble of creating a login, you can still browse through the bug list. Simply go to the "report a bug" link on the nav bar and hit the "login anonymously" link you will find. Although you can look through the listed bugs, you cannot report new bugs without being logged in to your own account.
