Screenshots of the game while in development
Each milestone section shows the major screens that were under development during that milestone cycle. Only those screens which have undergone significant changes since the previous milestone are shown. Other screens are essentially the same as they were in previous milestones (although minor changes may have occured).

Milestone 4 Release Screens

Milestone 4 was all about designing your race. This screen allows you to set some basic information, such as the race's name and the primary leader's characteristics. The race blurb updates automatically so you can see your selections in context.

Here you set your race's habitability ranges. The green overlay on the chart shows the areas your race will do best in. The further out you get from these settings, the slower your race's population will grow in any cities you may have in those areas. Increasing habitability ranges cost race points (you start with 500).

Here you can set various race bonuses, including things like bonuses to resource collection, city influence ranges, or espionage training. As with the other screen, you must spend your race points wisely. Note that these options are expected to expand as the game gets further along in development.

Milestone 3 Release Screens

The Credits Screen. A rolling list of those responsible...

The Options Screen. From here you can select your screen resolution, adjust the volume, and so on.

Milestone 2 Release Screens

The World Screen. From here, the player will be directing their units, checking on world events, gathering resources, and so on. At this stage of development, the skeleton for the world map and globe map have been put in, as well as map rotations and zooming. Level of detail, backface culling, and viewport culling functions have all been coded, which allow for responsive movement of the maps. The player message system is in place, as well as buttons to access other play screens.

Milestone 1 Release Screens

The Selection Screen. After loading the game, the player is taken to this screen, where they can chose to start a new game, create a race, load an existing game, and so on. At this point in development, most of these buttons were not functional.
