Milestone 2 screenshots

Okay gang, some screenshots of an area we have been working on. This is still early on, I haven't even finished all of the walls yet, and we haven't even started working on the ceilings and floors. But it should give you an idea.

The capsule guy is, of course, temporary until we have our character model ready to go. And we haven't yet dressed the rooms. So yeah, still pretty early.

I will set up the screenshots section of the site soon(ish), so that you guys have a central place to see the shots (and be able to see them in full size), since I figure we will probably document the development as we go.

What you are seeing here is our first complete LOD set of an animated model. There are no animations active on these guys, but they are there and they work (you can see the idle animation working in game for those of you who are testers). The LODs go from left to right, so LOD0 is on the far left. The guy on the far right is a 60% reduction in triangles from the first guy. Pretty good, eh? Of course, you won't ever see any of these guys (except LOD0) this close in game. That LOD3 would be tiny on the screen.

So, more to come, I have quite a few creature models to work though, setting up LODs for all of them. I won't post screenshots of each individual creature type, but once I have everyone set up, I intend to do a "class photo" and show y'all where we are at.
