The newest version of Manifest Destiny is now available for download.

I have updated the download page, including a correct link to the DirectX 9.0c redistributable (thanks to those who let me know the previous link was incorrect).

In addition to updating the download page, I have also updated the screen shot page, so be sure to check that one out.

You can scroll the world map by holding down the right mouse button (over the world map) and moving the mouse. Same deal for the globe map. You can zoom in and out on the world map using the mouse wheel. Note that the program is only capable of showing up to 400 map tiles. If you zoom out such that more than 400 are showing at once, the program will start to cut them out (an interesting effect, and essentially harmless). I'll be adding limits to the zooming later on when we have a map over the skeleton. The message box buttons work (I added 17 "fake" messages to scroll through), but the Goto button won't do anything, nor will the screen buttons to the right of the message box (except the exit button).

Under certain conditions, the message box may cut off the last line of the message (only if the message box is showing a scroll bar). This is a known issue, so no need to report it, I'll be fixing that later on.

Also, the progress bar text is all fubared (there is a progress bar on the load screen just after the movie). It's hard to tell at the moment because everything loads so quickly, but when I slow it down it's obvious the text is not drawing in the proper location. Another known issue.

Finally, I've fixed one pretty serious bug with the movie that should make it a bit smoother (as compared to how it ran in milestone 1). However, when I run the debug libraries of Direct3D, I am still getting a D3D complaint about the backbuffer, and I think this may still be causing a bit of choppyness. I will try to work on that for the next version, so hopefully the movie will smooth out even more.

Those are the known issues, if you find any others, let me know about them.
