DDO Solo Project

Project Rules:

• The character never groups with any other character, for any reason.
• All dungeons are completed one time per difficulty level. If a dungeon is Solo only, it is completed once at that difficulty level. If it is a Normal, Hard, Elite dungeon, it is completed three times, once at each level. If the dungeon has all four difficulties, all four are run. Dungeons are run in the order of Solo, Normal, Hard, and Elite.
• Dungeons will be run at Solo and Normal levels as close as possible to when the character is at that level, e.g. a level 5 dungeon should be run when the character is level 5. In certain cases exceptions to this rule can be made if the dungeon is extremely difficult and cannot be completed at the equivilent character level. However, every attempt should be made to complete the dungeon at the appropriate time. The Hard and Elite settings do not follow this rule, and can be run at the player's discretion. They should not, however, be run sooner character level appropriate (Hard setting is considered one level higher than Normal, and thus a level 5 dungeon should not be run on Hard before the character is at least level 6. Similarly, Elite is considered two levels higher than Normal, and the same dungeon should not be run on Elite sooner than when the character is level 7). The exception to this rule is when the character is at the level cap, they may run the Hard and Elite levels of dungeons that are higher than the level cap.
• The characters can never accept gifts or make trades with any other character in the game. All items and money the character possesses should have been earned by that character directly or bought at an in-game vendor or broker.
• The Auction House will not be used to purchase or sell items.
• A good faith effort to complete a dungeon must be made at all times. There will be no deliberately failing a dungeon to preserve its availablity at that difficulty level. This is considered a "loot run", and is against the spirit of the rules. It is expected that the player may fail a particular dungeon many times before successfully completing it, and may keep any loot gathered when retrying the dungeon, as long as the player made a true effort to complete the dungeon each time.
• The player may exit and enter a dungeon (usually due to death) as many times as he wishes. The decision to abandon and restart a dungeon from scratch (to remove the XP penalty due to re-entry) is at the discretion of the player.
• All dungeons will be thoroughly explored to the best ability of the character. All NPC monsters will be killed, all optional objectives will be completed, and all breakables will be broken. The character should have the 25% conquest bonus and 10% ransack bonus before they complete the dungeon as much as is possible.
