Currently in the game, there are 195 badges that can be earned. Because the History badges (15 in total) require from 3 to 7 entries each, the total number of entries in the database will actually be 254. At the moment, the badge database has the following composition:
Total number of badge entries: 195

--Trials: 0 (of 6)
--Villians: 24 (of 35)

IsolatorVillian12OutbreakTo get this badge, you must do the tutorial, which is the only place in the game you will find the needed villians, the Contaminated. The easiest way to finish this badge is to run through the entire tutorial (finishing the door mission). After completing the door mission, DO NOT return to Coyote (if you do, you will be dropped out of Outbreak). Instead, go back to the hazard areas and start taking down the Contaminated. You need 100 of them. There is no counter for this badge, so either keep track of your arrests or just keep going until you get the badge.

The badge is at the end of this ledge.

The badge is in the hand of the statue (presumably a Tank). It is possible, though not easy, to get this badge without special travel powers. Jump up the back of his foot to the leg, and then up to his belt (where a bit of a ledge gives you room to stand). Now jump up his back to his shoulder, then carefully make your way down his arm into his hand.

Frozen FurySpecial Event150VariesYou earn this badge by taking on the Winter Lords, a group of monsters that spawn during the Winter Event. They can be found in various zones, especially the hazard zones. As with all the other monsters, the key to getting their badge lies in doing damage. Once you (or your team) does a certain arbitrary amount of damage to the creature (even if it regenerates it later), you will get the badge once it is defeated.
Cold WarriorSpecial Event150VariousGetting this badge is a little tricky. First, you have to find a Winter Lord (a monster from the Winter Event). Instead of attacking, stand back a little way. Every once in a while, the Winter Lord will hurl snow, and this turns into two to four snow creatures (of various types). Take down 100 of the snow creatures (in any combination) to earn the badge .
Hallow SpiritSpecial Event150Various placesDo the most damage (or be on a team that does the most damage) to Eochai, a very large pumpkinheaded scarecrow looking beast. He is most commonly found in Steel Canyon, but he has also been spotted in Atlas Park and King's Row.

GravediggerVillian550n/aDefeat 100 Embalmed Cadavers / Embalmed Abominations to get this badge. You have to take them down quick, because they explode after a few seconds, and you don't get credit for the defeat. FinderVillian550n/aDefeat 100 Lost bosses to earn this badge. As with the other Villian badges, you can find these guys in any number of places. A really good hunting ground, however, is the central area of the Sewer Network. You could also check Perez Park or Skyway City.
VolcanicVillian550n/aDefeat 100 igneous bosses (such as Magma Lords) to earn this badge. You can often find these creatures at the bottom of Grendel's Gulch in the Hollows. (When they are dormant, they appear as flaming areas on the ground)

Positron's AllyTask Force1016Positron
(Steel Canyon)
To get this badge, you need to do Positron's Task Force, which involves Clockwork, Circle of Thorns, and Vahzilok. Going over the details of doing a Task Force is well beyond the scope of this guide, but get at least a 3 hero team (4-5 is a good number) and expect to spend about 6-8 hours (in one session) completing the job (and once you start a Task Force, you cannot add new people, so make sure you have a reliable group). Everyone on the team at the end of the Task Force gets a badge.
Knight ErrantVillian1050King's RowTo get this badge, you must prevent the Clockwork from finishing Paladin. Once they complete him, you've lost the badge and have to find a new spawn. The trick is to keep the construction health low while taking out his defenders and constructors. You'll need help. A little bit of building hopping is required.

From the overhang, you can jump onto the track. Carefully follow the track around until you are as close to the building as you can get. From there, you can jump down to the roof.

Babbage can be found during the Synapse Task Force mission (which can be started at level 16) or wandering around in Boomtown in Grennadier Village (against the north wall of the district). Like all other monsters in game, there is a set (and arbitrary) amount of damage you must do to Babbage to earn this badge. Any individual or team that has done at least this amount of damage will earn the badge when Babbage has been defeated.
TranscendantTask Force1250The HollowsStart this trial by talking to David Wincott (you should be sent there by your contacts when you hit level 5). Going through the entire Trial is beyond the scope of this guide, but just keep doing the Hollows missions (there are a total of four contacts there) and you'll eventually get the badge (for the final mission, you need a team of 8 people). The reason I've put this at level 12 is that, while you can start the Trial at level 5, you can't finish it until at least level 12 (the final mission is in the Tunnels, which are level restricted to 12 or higher).

DevilfishVillian2250Independence PortTo earn Devilfish, you need to defeat Lusca, an octopus that hangs around in Independence Port (usually to the south near the quays). Getting credit for the badge is the standard sort of deal for monsters, you must deliver some set amount of damage to the creature before it dies (and any damage done by your teammates counts toward this total). Taking down Lusca is a little unusual in that it is a nine step process. You must defeat one tentacle at a time, at which point Lusca will submerge and resurface a short distance away. Once all eight tentacles are down, you can attack the head.
