When you reach level 6, you have the option of taking your first travel power, hover. I'm going to make the assumption that you are taking this power now. If you don't, you can wait until level 14 to take super jump or teleport (at which point you should come back here to get these badges). If you aren't planning on taking any of these powers, you will have to beg (or pay) another hero to teleport you to these. You can't get these badges without one of the travel powers.
Start in Atlas Park and pick up these two Exploration badges:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Freedom | Exploration | 6 | 50 | Atlas Park (124 121 -640) | On top of City Hall. Requires Fly, Teleport, or Super Jump. |
| Top Dog | Exploration | 6 | 50 | Atlas Park (134, 314, -341) | On top of Altas' globe. You will need one of the travel powers (super jump, teleport, or flight) to reach it. |
Good. Now run over to King's Row and get this one. I'm told it's possible (though tricky) to get this badge with Combat Jumping as well as one of the standard travel powers:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Keen Sighted | Exploration | 6 | 50 | King's Row (-2176, 97, 1143) | On a powerline platform. Requires super jump, teleport, or hover/flight to reach. |
Once you reach level 7, you get access to Perez Park. Start with the Exploration badges:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Around the Bendis | Exploration | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-875, -31, 3658) | At the far south end of Everett Lake is a boathouse. The badge is on the ground in front of the door. |
| Avatar | Exploration | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-1539, -32, 3176) | About 100 yards southeast of the Everett Lake marker is a fallen avatar statue. |
| Territorial | Exploration | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-2014, -56, 1585) | About 50 yards east of the Perez Park marker is a bridge. The badge is in the center of the bridge. |
| Doc Whedon | Exploration | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-2084, -31, 2854) | About 300 yards east of the Everett Lake marker is a small dock. The badge is there. |
| Justice Avenger | Exploration | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-1034, 1, 3976) | A bit west of the Skyway City entrance you will find a fountain. The badge is in the fountain |
Continue with the History Badges. Here is where you previous legwork starts to pay off, as you complete the final plaques for this set of badges:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
Student (Part 4 of 5) | History | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-1523, 0, 3960) | This plaque is north and slightly west of the Skyway City entrance. Unfortunately, it's on the other side of the large wall, the only only gate is way over by the Atlas Park entrance. However, with a bit of skillful jumping on buildings, you can cut your run time a bit. |
Pupil (Part 5 of 5) | History | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-1173, -32, 2251) | In the far western part of the Perez Park section, just north of Everett Lake is a river. If you follow the river you should see a largish tree. The plaque in mounted at the base of the tree. |
Intellectual (Part 6 of 6) | History | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (224, 0, 1610) | When you come into Perez Park from the Galaxy City Entrance, look to your left. There is a series of buildings there. Go around to the back of them, the plaque is mounted on the wall. |
Expert (Part 4 of 4) | History | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-1279, -35, 935) | Head for the river in Bettis Hills (your best bet is to come at it from the east, if you come from the west, you will get hopelessly lost in the maze that is Bettis Hills). On the overhead map there is a break in the river path (though this doesn't seem to translate to the world). About halfway in this break, you will find the plaque on the eastern bank of the river. |
Student (Part 5 of 5) | History | 7 | 50 | Perez Park (-2634, 0, 378) | From the Atlas Park entrance, go through the gate into the park, and immediately turn right. Follow the inside wall for a bit. The plaque is not too far south from where the wall turns to the west. |
While you are in Perez Park, there are a few more Villian badges you can earn, Bonecrusher, Soul Binder, and Gearsmasher. There are several places you can find these guys, but they're all over Perez Park, so that's why I've put them here:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Bonecrusher | Villian | 7 | 50 | n/a | Defeat 50 Skull Bone Daddies to get this badge. Although you can find Bone Daddies in any number of locations, one of the best places to find them is the Boneyard in Perez Park. |
| Soul Binder | Villian | 7 | 50 | n/a | Defeat 100 Circle of Thorns Mages (either the Lieutenants or Bosses). Watch out, for once they get below a certain health level, they tend to explode. Perez Park or the northwest side of the Hollows are good hunting ground for these villians. |
| Gearsmasher | Villian | 7 | 50 | n/a | You must defeat 200 clockwork gears to earn this badge. You won't find gears directly, rather, you have to take down clockwork princes, which then generate anywhere between 2-5 gears. Good hunting grounds for clockwork bosses is Perez Park, Skyway City, or Faultline (south of the entrance). |
There is another Villian badge to earn while you are in Perez Park. This one works slightly differently than the previous few, in that you only need to defeat a single villian, the Kraken. All you have to do to get this badge is to do more damage than anyone else when the Kraken is defeated. While I've set the minimum level at 7 (the lowest level you can be to get into Perez Park), you probably don't have much of a chance against this beast until you are more around the level 10 mark.
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Unleasher | Villian | 7 | 50 | Perez Park | To get this badge, you must have delivered the most amount of damage, or be on the team that delivers the most damage to Kraken when he goes down. Kraken can be found in Everett Lake in Perez Park. |
At level 10, you get a new badge, just for being level 10.
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Protector of Innocents | Achievement | 10 | 10 | n/a | You get this badge for reaching level 10. |
39 Badges now, not bad! Around level 10, your contacts will begin sending you into Steel Canyon. As long as your there, we'll grab the usual set of Exploration and History badges. This is the start of a new set of History badge plaques.
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Bright Star | Exploration | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-2987, -36, 1819) | This is on top of a building. The only way to get there without use of a travel power is via the train tracks. If you follow the tracks from the building southeast, you will eventually come to two trucks parked underneath them. Get on top of the second truck, and jump east to an overhang. From the overhang, you can jump onto the track. Carefully follow the track around until you are as close to the building as you can get. From there, you can jump down to the roof. |
| Hero Corps Recruit | Exploration | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-1764, 16, 1364) | This one is easy. Go to the hospital and face the door. To your right is a contact (Colleen Saramago). The badge is at her feet. |
| Secret Admirer | Exploration | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-3437, 0, 2537) | This is midway between the Perez Park and Atlas Park entrances, on the sidewalk in front of a light post. |
| Nimble Mynx | Exploration | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-2428, 48, -3406) | This badge is on top of the first building directly west of the Boomtown entrance. To get on top of it, you need to use the rail tracks. Go to the green line station, and with some clever use of the rails and ledges, you can make your way onto the tracks. Be careful of the train as you make your way toward the building. A little bit of building hopping is required. |
Disciple (Part 1 of 7) | History | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-4021, -84, -274) | In the Fools Gold district, about 250 yards south of the sewer network is a tall building with a mini park in front. The plaque is in the park. |
Just Said No To Superadine (Part 1 of 5) | History | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-1762, 0, -1277) | Go to the Independance Port entrance. You should see a large statue. At the base of the statue you will find the plaque mounted on a wall. |
Just Said No To Superadine (Part 2 of 5) | History | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-2177, 0, 751) | About 250 yards northeast of the hospital, this plaque is mounted on the northwest side of a building. |
Scholar (Part 1 of 5) | History | 10 | 50 | Steel Canyon (-4521, 0, 2067) | The plaque is on the northwestern corner of the block the Yellow Line subway is sitting on. |
And that last exploration badge was your 50th badge, maybe, I'm just presuming you haven't yet gotten any of the non level dependant badges or the special event badges, and that you are doing this in the order as presented. If my presumption is wrong, which is probably is, you may have gotten this one already. But for the sake of argument, let us presume for a moment all this is true, and that you've just earned your 51st badge:
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Explorer | Achievement | 1 | 50 | n/a | Earn this badge for earning 50 badges. |
This is another mission based badge. You are looking for Cirlce of Thorns missions. Go to whichever contact gives you missions revolving around this villian group (hint: It's your Mage contact). Eventually, once you've run through a few CoT missions, you should get the proper job, which is to resuce the mystic from the Cirlce of Thorns magi.
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Spelunker | Accomplishment | 10 | 15 | Mission | You get this badge once you rescue the fortune teller from the Circle of Thorns. |
For this next badge, you should be around level 10ish or higher, unless you have a lot of help. You need to hunt for clockworks building Paladin, a monsterous robot. You have to thwart the completion of this construction. If the clocks finish the bot, you lose. The Paladin construction site can be in a few spots. I found it on the western end of Industrial Avenue. It may take a bit of hunting around.
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Knight Errant | Villian | 10 | 50 | King's Row | To get this badge, you must prevent the Clockwork from finishing Paladin. Once they complete him, you've lost the badge and have to find a new spawn. The trick is to keep the construction health low while taking out his defenders and constructors. You'll need help. It takes about 10 minutes of solid fighting, but eventually the clocks will give up and you will get your badge. |
Okay, let's talk about your first task force. Although technically, you can get this TF at level 10, I wouldn't until at least 12. But since 10 is the designed lowest level, I'll add it here. Note that if you are exemplared, you CAN join a team for this TF and get the badge (so all is not lost if you outlevel this badge). However, if you lose your connection, you cannot rejoin the Task Force (because you lose your exemplared status when you go off lline, and when you come back, the game will notice you are out of range for the TF and not add you back in to the team). So if you're going to try to exemplar this one, make sure you're on a reliable connection. If you ARE within the proper level and you lose your connection, you will still be on the TF when you get back on (assuming it hasn't disbanded).
| Name | Catagory | Min Level | Max Level | Location | Notes |
| Positron's Ally | Task Force | 10 | 16 | Positron (Steel Canyon) | To get this badge, you need to do Positron's Task Force, which involves Clockwork, Circle of Thorns, and Vahzilok. Going over the details of doing a Task Force is well beyond the scope of this guide, but get at least a 3 hero team (4-5 is a good number) and expect to spend about 6-8 hours (in one session) completing the job (and once you start a Task Force, you cannot add new people, so make sure you have a reliable group). Everyone on the team at the end of the Task Force gets a badge. |
At this point (if you've been following this guide), by my count, you should now have 53 badges, plus any non-level dependent and special event badges you may have picked up along the way. Next up, levels 11-15.
