At level 21, you can enter Dark Astoria, one of the cooler hazard zones in the game. The residents, destroyed by the Banished Panatheon, still walk the streets as ghostly figures which fade as they get close. In the far northeastern corner of the district is Moth Cemetery, a section you should tread with some care. Here are the exploration and history badges for the district.

Seeker of the UnknownExploration2150Dark Astoria
(1868, -80, 1352)
For this badge, you will be deep in the heart of Moth Cemetary, a very dangerous place. Running through the cemetary is a chasm (just move from west to east and you'll run into it eventually). In the middle of this chasm are three mausoleums. The badge is just in front of the midle one.
Dark MysticExploration2150Dark Astoria
(1677, 6, 2834)
Along the northern edge of Didos View, you will find a theater. The badge is on the rooftop, and there is no convienient fire escape to climb this time. However, behind the theater is a raised road. You can just barely make the jump with only sprint active.
Cairn WarderExploration2150Dark Astoria
(1027, 52, 219)
For this badge, we're back in Moth Cemetary again. Get on the path and just keep following it north and east. We want to end up in the farthest northeastern section of the district. Where the path ends, you should be looking at a large rock formation. Go inside, and you will see the badge marker on a slight incline.

(3417, 42, 3038)
From the Talos Island entrance, head directly east. Shortly, you will run into a wall. There are stairs either slightly north or slightly south. Go up and return back north or south to approximately the same lattitude you were at. You should see a road heading east. Follow it into Toffet Terrace. When you are about 0.55 miles from the Talos Island entrance, the road ends. On the southern corner is a building, and the plaque is in the courtyard of this building.

From the Talos Island entrance, go to the first north/south road and head north about 350 yards. Look to the east. You should be seeing some fountains between two buildings. The plaque is mounted on the wall of the northern building about halfway down the courtyard.

This one is in the middle of Moth Cemetary, so be very careful if you are still in your early 20's, the Banished Panatheons here will eat you for lunch (and watch out for Adamaster!). The plaque is on the tallest hill (in the far northeast area) just off the circular path.

History2150Dark Astoria
(5218, 0, 129)
This plaque is mounted on the far northern wall of the district. Simply move as far north as you can (preferably on the western side, otherwise you'll end up in Moth Cemetery, which is no place you want to be). Move along the wall until you are about 300 yards east of the western district wall, and you should see the plaque.

While you're here, you can get a couple of villian badges. There are plenty of Banished Pantheon in this district, but the Totems are a little harder to find. While you will run across the occasional random Totem wandering around the district, they seem to be a bit more abundant in Moth Cemetary. Also in Moth Cemetary is Adamaster, a monster you must defeat for the Keeper of Secrets badge. If you still in your low 20's, you might want to bring a few friends along.
NameCatagoryMin LevelMax LevelLocationNotes
BanisherVillian2150n/aYou get this badge for taking down 100 Banished Pantheon Spirit Totems.
Keeper of SecretsVillian2150n/aDefeat Adamaster, a creature that wanders Moth Cemetary in Dark Astoria. You must do the most damage or be in a group that does the most damage to the creature when it goes down to earn this badge.

Around level 22, you can start wandering around in Independence Port. There are a few exploration and history badges to collect.

Crey HavocExploration2250Independence Port
(-441, 2, -269)
This badge is on Power Island, about 250 yards northeast of the entrance to Terra Volta, just outside a ruined building. You don't necessarily have to take the bridge, you can get there by swimming.
ValorousExploration2250Independence Port
(948, 609, -1152)
This badge is atop the southern-most arch of Valor Bridge. You can easily get to it without a travel power by walking along the suspension cable. There are convieniently placed catwalks to help you get up there.
VigerousExploration2250Indpendence Port
(-1615, 80, -1870)
This badge is on top of a large wharehouse in Crey Crove. Fortunately for those without a travel power, there is a fire escape on the north side of the building that will give you access to the rooftop.

From the King's Row Entrance, go straight west, following the road until it makes a sharp turn to the north (you will be looking into the bay). The plaque is at the corner of the road.

History2250Independence Port
(909, 98, -4179)
In the middle of Independence Port, there is a fairly long bridge (it looks like the Golden Gate Bridge in San Fransisco). Head to the northern end of the bridge. Just before the fence barrier, the plaque is on the left (as you are looking south).

On Power Island (where the Terra Volta entrace is), follow along the outside of the wall and go the the farthest southeastern point. The plaque is at the end of a small peninsula.

(-1627, 1, 5255)
Go to the extreme southeast corner of the map, then start running west, keeping an eye to your left. The plaque is not very far, less than 100 yards west.

If you can't find enough Family bosses through the missions, Independence Port is one place they tend to hang out. Although the vast majority of the Family in this district are minions and lieutenants, you can find the occassional boss. Liberty Quay and Justice Quay seem to be the best bet for finding the organizers of organized crime. You can also find Lusca here from time to time, generally around the same area (except in the water).
NameCatagoryMin LevelMax LevelLocationNotes
UntouchableVillian2250n/aEarn this badge by defeating 100 Family bosses.
DevilfishVillian2250Independence PortTo earn Devilfish, you need to defeat Lusca, an octopus that hangs around in Independence Port (usually to the south near the quays). Getting credit for the badge is the standard sort of deal for monsters, you must deliver some set amount of damage to the creature before it dies (and any damage done by your teammates counts toward this total). Taking down Lusca is a little unusual in that it is a nine step process. You must defeat one tentacle at a time, at which point Lusca will submerge and resurface a short distance away. Once all eight tentacles are down, you can attack the head.

Now we come to Terra Volta, a Trial Zone. While not quite as difficult to navigate as Faultline, it runs a close second. Between most distrcits run huge walls that have only a few ways to get over or through, and those ways are invariably heavily guarded. If you have a travel power, the zone is not such a big deal. But if not, the district can be tough to get around in. Follow the roads to get to most of the zones. The three zones to the far south will probably require some catwalk jumping.

Here are the history and exploration badges. This set finishes yet another group of history badges.

MeltdownExploration2350Terra Volta
(1119, 722, -3080)
Go to the Terra Volta Reactor map marker. Face south and look up. What you are looking at is the Terra Volta Reactor. You need to get on top of it. This one requires a travel power, as there is no conventional means of getting up there.
Nervous DreckExploration2350Terra Volta

This badge marker is in Raysun Petrolium, against the far western district wall.
Conjunction JunctionExploration2350Terra Volta
(2222, 0, -7100)
As you move from Coroman Manufacturing to Raysun Petrolium along the main road, you move down a hill. Just to the north of the road at the top of the hill is a culvert. The badge is at the bottom of the culvert.

History2350Terra Volta
(-637, 0, -6185)
When you come into Terra Volta, you are standing on a rooftop. Move forward to the edge and look down to see a road running east-west. Hope down and follow this road east and down a hill. Continue following the road as it curves to the south. Soon it will end in a dirt lot with three transformer stations. The plaque is behind the middle station.

(2091, 0, -6055)
Start at the road near the entrance again, following it west. The road will twist and turn quite a bit, but just keep following it until you reach a T-junction. Choose the eastern path. Follow this road until just before it ends. You will see a building to your north. The plaque is mounted on the wall to the left of the doors.

Return to the T-junction near where you got the Researcher 6 plaque, only this time go west instead of east. Follow the road. Just after you pass under the power line, look for a dirt lot on your left. Go through this lot to another small road and follow it southeast, eventually going up a hill. At the top of the hill, the road hits another T-junction, and the plaque is right in front of you.
